Default Team Nemesis (MMA & CQC in Bath)

Team Nemesis (www.team-nemesis.info) is a Bath based team specialising in MMA and CQC. CQC is an extremely effective and practical Close Quarter Combat system designed for modern day needs. It deals with a short duration, high intensity conflict, often characterised by a sudden burst of hostility at an extremely close range. The system covers control & restraint, partner assist, combat within all ranges, as well as threat assessment, conflict resolution and self-defence law and it's application.

In addition to this we also work closely with Trojan Free Fighters, one of Britains top profesional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) teams. Our MMA training covers a wide variety of techniques / angles and includes striking, wrestling and grappling. To further improve our base we run three classes a week which concentrate exclusively on: Boxing, Submission Grappling and Olympic Wrestling. This classes are taught by some of the best coaches in the country, for example:
  • Boxing is taught by Islan Eltuyev: 2 x USSR Boxing Champion who has also coached Jamie Cox to the Commonwealth gold in Melbourne (2006).
  • Wrestling is taught by Saeed Esmaeli: 1996 European Freestyle Wrestling Champion who has coached GB Olympic team members and British champion Leon Rattigan.

Recently, we've made a short video introducing the team and some of the coaches, so feel free to check it out: YouTube - About Team Nemesis

If anyone is interested then there is more information available at:

Default Spartan MMA - Shrewsbury

Hi All, I just wanted to shout about my new class that I am starting in Shrewsbury.

Spartan MMA

We are doing a 1 hour mma session per week with the view to expand the amount of classes when word gets around.

Doug Wildman & myself are the instructors, Doug is a blackbelt in kickboxing and I have a black belt in jiu jitsu. We both train at Gladiator Gym with Ross Pointon when we get the chance. We have also both recently been selected to represent England at the ISKA European Championships being held in Rome this coming October.

The classes are going to be targeted towards students wishing to compete at amateur and semi-pro level competitions.

Any advice on do's & don'ts would be really appreciated.

Cheers guys
Andy
